Elisha encounters a desperate widow whose husband left her with a large debt, and now the creditor is threatening to take her sons as slaves. She only has a small jar of oil left. Elisha instructs her to borrow as many empty vessels as possible, then pour the oil into them. Miraculously, the oil keeps flowing until all the vessels are filled. Elisha tells her to sell the oil, pay the debt, and live off the surplus. The widow and her sons are freed from their financial crisis. The story illustrates how God can provide abundance and freedom, just as He fills believers with His grace, symbolized by the oil.
